Starting in 1986, Edition Patrick Frey has published more than 300 books until today. Collaborating closely with mainly Swiss but also international artists, the publishing house focuses on unique projects and produces books in small print runs.
The purpose of Edition Patrick Frey is to provide particularly young artists an opportunity and a platform with a first publication, but the publishing house has also been engaged in long-term collaborations with several artists such as Walter Pfeiffer, Peter Fischli & David Weiss, and Andreas Züst. With an output of up to 20 books per year, the publisher focuses mainly on photography, art and projects dealing with everyday and popular culture.
Four times a year our whole editorial team convenes to assess and discuss the latest book proposals we’ve received. We consider unsolicited submissions provided they meet the following criteria:
Each book proposal must be e-mailed in PDF format to firstname.lastname@example.org
and contain the following:
- brief project description
- brief résumé
- sufficient pictorial material to get a good sense of your project (photos, drawings, paintings etc.)
- your complete contact information

Patrick Frey, b. 1949 in Bern, is an actor, comedian, author and publisher.
Since 1984 he has been working on various films and television productions as an actor, comedian and author. He has written or co-written over twenty comedies, farces and other full-length theatrical productions, performing in most of them as well, for the Swiss independent theater scene, the Schauspielhaus Zürich, the Casinotheater in Winterthur and Hechtplatz Theater.
Patrick Frey lives with his wife and four sons in Zürich.
