Elodie Pong
Biography
Élodie Pong (b. 1966 Boston, USA) is a US-Swiss artist and filmmaker. She lives in Zurich and works in video, film, photography, performance, sculpture, drawing, and installation. Élodie Pong has Chinese roots on her father's side and Swiss-German roots on her mother's side. From 1986 to 1989 she studied sociology and anthropology at the University of Lausanne. After graduating, she became interested in artistic works in the field of sculpture. She spent two years in Paris and then a year in San Francisco, where her sculptures were exhibited in various galleries and art venues. In 1994 she destroyed much of her existing work and turned to the medium of video art.
