Hans Ulrich Obrist
Biography
Hans Ulrich Obrist (born 1968 in Zürich) is Artistic Director of the Serpentine Galleries in London. Previously, he was curator of the Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris. Since his first exhibition "World Soup" (The Kitchen Show) in 1991, he has curated over 300 exhibitions. In 2011, Obrist received the CCS Bard Award for Curatorial Excellence, and in 2015 he was awarded the International Folkwang Prize for his services to the arts. He has lectured widely at academic and art institutions and contributes as an editor to various magazines and journals.
