Sarina Scheidegger

Biography

Sarina Scheidegger (*1985 in Bern/CH) is based in Basel

Sarina Scheidegger is an artist, writer and editor regularly involved in various collaborations, working mainly in Basel. The different forms of working and thinking together with others has been a major subject in her artistic research. She works in various constellations and collaborations for example with the Argentinian artist Jimena Croceri and the writer and artist Ariane Koch. Scheidegger holds a Master of Contemporary Art Practice from the HKB University of Arts Bern as well as a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Art Institute HGK FHNW in Basel where she also worked as a research assistant. She has received numerous international grants and prices including the residency FLORA, Bogota, in 2018 with the program Coincidencia by Pro Helvetia and the 2012 Swiss Performance Award.

In 2016 she founded «Stingray Editions» together with Kambiz Shafei to publish different formats and editions by various artists.
