Jürg Halter / huber.huber

Biography

Jürg Halter (b. 1980 in Bern) studied at the Bern Academy of Arts (HKB) and now lives and works in Bern. Halter is one of the best-known poets and spoken word artists of his generation in the German-speaking world. He has released several publications and has performed in Europe, Africa, Japan, Russia and the USA. He has collaborated with Stephan Eicher, Sophie Hunger, Bettina Oberli, Yves Netzhammer, and Walter Pfeiffer, among others. His latest volume of poetry is entitled Wir fürchten das Ende der Musik (Wallstein Verlag, 2014).

Markus und Reto Huber (b. 1975 in Münsterlingen, Switzerland) have been working together under the pseudonym huber.huber since graduating from the Zurich School of Art and Design (HGK) in 2005. In recent years their collages and drawings in particular, but also sculptural works and installations, have attracted widespread notice. huber.huber's multilayered conceptual works have been featured in a great many solo and group exhibits in Switzerland and abroad.
